New at Mahanayim

We are busy planning summer 2010 and getting ready to turn Stephen S. Wise Temple into our Summer playground. Whether it is your first time attending Mahanayim or you are a summer regular, you are sure to be pleasantly surprised by the calendar of events and schedule of activities.

This summer we are embarking upon a new eight-week calendar without sessions, with a minimum four-week sign-up. While we hope to have campers joining us for all eight weeks, this schedule allows for more flexibility around family vacations and summer activities. Along with our eight-week calendar, we are going to be having weekly themes that will be incorporated into camp activities throughout the week, even having special activities brought to camp! Schedules are being created to encourage group bounding through grade activities and across grade-level interactions.

With these changes, please be assured that the core commitment remains the sense of community we have developed. Camp days will continue to begin with opening morning circle and camp weeks will come to a closing with our all camp Shabbat celebration. Our counselors remain committed to providing campers with memorable experiences in which they feel valued as a member of their community.

Look out for upcoming calendars and messages regarding activities to occur in Summer 2010!
